Who is Jack Jordan?

A New York Jury has found Jack Jordan Guilty Of Stalking Uma Thurman and could spend as much time as one year in prison.

A Wall Street Journal reporter is sharing her experience as a juror in the Uma Thurman stalker trial, including the jury’s suspicions over whether the actress may have exaggerated her fear.

Now 37, Jack was raised, as one of eight children of a nuclear physicist and a homemaker, in a law-abiding family. He was by all accounts, an exemplary child.. He was a former pre-med student who graduated from the University of Chicago in 1994 with a degree in English literature

What did he do?

He stalked Thurman for the last three years, showing up at her residents, movie shoots, and even sending her cards and letters. He scared the living S%$* out of Uma who feared he wanted to kill her or her children. He slept in a car outside her house and kept ringing the door bell.

Why did he do it?

He saw clues in Uma’s movies that she might love him, He thought he had played a flirtatious “cat and mouse game” with her, but that he had never meant to scare her. He realized now that he might have been “misguided,” perhaps even “foolish” in his “quest” to win her over from about January 2005 to the late summer of 2007.

He had been hospitalized for about a month in 2007 and given anti psychotic drugs. Afterwards, he testified, he feared he was so damaged by the drugs that he would be able to work only at menial jobs.

When you’re watching TV or movies in prison, try to remember that they are just actors, you’re not the only person in the audience. Try to develop Real relationships with real people you can see and touch. - although preferably when you get released.
